Content Ideas: Blogging Tips

Now that you have a blog set up and have discovered what all those fancy widgets are that are on the top of mostly all the blogs you have come across, your next big question that you are probably asking yourself is, what should I blog about.

Content is everything:

Content isn’t just writing, it’s the way the blog makes everyone else feel. The easiest way to choose content is to blog about something that you know a little about. The content in your blog is everything. Forget about what those fancy widgets will do for your blog and focus on the content. Without the content, your blog is nothing.

Picking what? Content?:

Make your choice wisely. You don’t want to start a blog off by talking about computer technology and then mid center decide that you really aren’t interested in how computers tend to mal-function. You defiantly don’t want to go away from the topic either. The best way to choose a topic is to find something that you love and blog about it.

For instance, I love to write. I write a lot and about almost anything that I can find that might interest someone else. I have even started writing for a company at Associated Content . I wrote about this company in one of my other blogs. The blog that this was wrote in was all about writing techniques.

Running out of ideas:

I run out of content ideas periodically and therefore I worked up a way for me to stay on top of the blogging game. I read other blogs and get content ideas from them. I don’t steal their content, only their ideas. I get a few ideas and then I run with it. I also leave them a comment telling them that their ideas are outstanding, this also gives them a chance to get to know you and more than likely they will check out your blog.

Forums:

If you really can’t find any ideas after all of this, then try checking out forums. People are always looking for answers in forums. I read a forum once that asked how to get the stats from their blog. This gave me a new idea for article content. I wrote about it and then added the link in the forum. This gave me more content and more page views for everyone in that forum who wanted to know the answer to that question.

Content should be worth it:

Make your content worth it. If you continue to write about things that make little sense or write about something that is not interesting, you are, without a doubt, going to lose your readers. Sure, you might get readers for the first couple of months, but after that, when they realize that you don’t know what you are talking about, they will disappear. Make the content worth their while and keep happy readers.
