Blogging to School

School has started, and this means that there is a larger demand of me as a mother and teacher. I am not a schoolteacher, but a teacher that teaches my children. I took blogging to school one day when I volunteered for my Kindergartner’s class. What I mean by this is that I used the little children as a blogging tool to help me blog.

I kept wondering why the little children kept trying to get out of doing their work when it seemed so easy. The teacher would give them a paper with crayons and ask them to color the picture blue, but many of them were making excuses. Why were they acting this way?

After school was over, I realized something that many of us do; we procrastinate about blogging and writing but not because we don’t know how to do it but because it is something that we may not understand the meaning behind.

If there is one thing that I learned from those little hands that kept raising to go to the bathroom, it is that even though they knew how to do it; it is still important to practice it. The same goes for blogging and writing; we won’t get any better if we don’t practice.

This has been a learning experience for me, and I am glad that I took the moment to learn something from my five-year-old and her friends. I hope that you look at this post as a way for you to remember that blogging and writing are not something to give up if you truly want to do it. With practice, you will get better. I have been ridiculed for my writing but I have learned that I too will become a better blogger and then one day I will be the one that many look up too.
