Books on Writing

I want to try something with this blog and my writing career. Many writers like to give advice. Hell, I like giving advice, especially on writing, but if I\’m honest with myself, my writing advice isn\’t always suitable for everyone and maybe not anyone, but I like doing it so I can refer back to my blog as a roadmap to writing.

Therefore, I will buy every book I can on writing and walk you through everything they say to do. I want to put the author\’s advice to the challenge. I\’ve skimmed and read many books throughout my writing journey, and I\’m still searching for the perfect book.

Not every book will be suitable for every individual, but I hope with my challenge, you will find the perfect book for you, and it will lead you to a writing career like no other. Maybe you are a plotter, or perhaps a pantser, but you are a writer, damn it!

So, the first up is Story Genius by Lisa Cron. I will post my interpretation of what I read and what I did. It might take me days, weeks, or months to finish each book, but I\’ll do it and post my notes for you to pick through.

If you have a book you would like me to read about writing, let me know in the comments section, and I\’ll give you a shout-out if I choose that book even if you aren\’t the author.

Please remember that I have a chronic illness, and it might take me some time to get each post out there.
